Communication on the organisation of a refresher measure in the field of data protection
A training organisation in Latvia shall submit a statement regarding the organisation of training to the State Data Inspectorate not later than two months before commencing training. The notification shall be accompanied by documents certifying the qualifications and experience of teachers and the training programme.
The application must indicate whether the applicant has an official electronic address account activated.
The State Data Inspectorate shall send the documents using the official electronic address if the request for communication and the e-mail address is not substantiated in the application.Assessment of the communication
The State Data Inspectorate shall evaluate the notification and the documents attached thereto and shall take a decision within one month regarding the intended training compliance with the upgrading measure in the field of personal data protection.Notification of the decision
If an official electronic address account has been activated, the State Data Inspectorate shall send the decision using the official electronic address if the communication on the organisation of refresher measures in the field of data protection does not justify a request for communication and an electronic mail address.Publication of information on the inspection website
The Data State Inspectorate shall publish on its website the information at its disposal regarding training in the field of personal data protection in Latvia, which shall be recognised as a measure for raising the qualification of a data protection specialist, indicating the number of academic hours that are granted regarding his or her visit.
